Support Us Now
Over the last two years, we've put a lot of work into expanding what we do at Lazy Thinking.
Alongside presenting more than 850 shows, prioritising new and emerging artists and never charging venue hire fees, we've continued to develop Lazy Thinking Records, launched an artist residency program, begun building Lazy Thinking Sync and started work on a free music education initiative.
We believe independent artists need more than places to play. They need opportunities to learn, create, release work and access practical support throughout their careers.
We also believe the traditional model of funding independent music primarily through bar sales is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain and, even when it works, only addresses part of the challenge.
We've been saying for a while that new models are needed.
This is ours.
There Are Two Ways To Help
Become A Member
Memberships help sustain the ongoing work of Lazy Thinking: the venue, the shows, the artists, the staff, and the broader resources being built around them. They form part of a new community-supported model designed to help fund this work directly, rather than relying primarily on bar sales.
Support What Comes Next
While memberships help sustain the ongoing work of Lazy Thinking, donations to our new tax deductable fundraising campaign help us build what's next: our residency program, education initiatives, and the infrastructure required to support independent artists beyond simply providing a place to perform.
